The field of Fluid Mechanics deals with the movement of liquids and gases. The aim is to gain knowledge in technically relevant flows on the basis of physical laws, to recognize important connections, to prepare the fundamentals for experimental access to flows by measurement technology and to develop computational methods for various applications.
